Brookridge Cove Rehabilitation and Care Center offers a wide range of therapy modalities to get your loved one back home quickly with maximum functionality. Our therapy programs focus on pain relief, restoring function, improving mobility, and preventing or limiting physical and cognitive disabilities.

Physical Therapy
Brookridge Cove therapy programs are led by state-licensed physical therapists. The primary goal for physical therapy is to restore strength, increase range of motion, balance, coordination, respiration, and motor functions. Each elder receives an individualized care plan based on a thorough evaluation. Physical therapy can help elder who are recovering from:
- Fractured hips and other bones
- Osteoarthritis
- Joint pain
- Diabetes
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Alzheimer’s Disease
- Stroke
- Multiple Sclerosis
- And many other conditions

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy helps elders achieve function, meaning, and satisfaction in all aspects of everyday living. Elders participating in our occupational therapy program will learn how to successfully navigate everyday tasks like getting dressed, bathing, feeding, home management, and participating in social settings. Occupational therapy creates a holistic plan by assessing:
- Physical condition
- Cognitive condition
- Psychosocial condition
- Sensory condition

Speech Pathology
Speech-language pathologists focus on improving deficits in speech and swallowing. Our therapists are professionally trained in helping elders recover from strokes or other injuries that affect speech and swallowing. Our speech-language pathologists work one-on-one with our elders to help them regain functional communication with a variety of methods. Brookridge Cove Rehabilitation and Health Center uses an interdisciplinary approach to maximize communication through verbal, visual, and/or gestural means. Elders may need speech therapy as a result of:
- Brain injury
- Stroke
- Seizure
- Progressive diseases
- Cancer
- Other Injury
